"Calogero Genco on alto & soprano sax, Leonardo Grimaudo & Fabrizio Brusca on guitars and Carmelo Graceffa on drums & percussion. All four musicians are from Sicily, their music attempt to evoke the Sicilian culture. Since I have never been to Sicily, it would be difficult for me recognize this although the music is no less fascinating. Each musician contributed to the writing of different pieces and it seems obvious that this music is not completely improvised. Both guitarists play different parts, one often playing intricate lines with the saxist, the other doing a variety of different tasks. Every piece is well constructed and uses the different talents of each member most admirably..."
